Apparently, today (October 29, 2009) is the 50th anniversary of Asterix and Obelix comics.
50 years of excellent comics. I think in my family we took those comics out of the St. Marys public library more than any other book. My own collection is not quite complete, but some day I will get there and have all 33 of them (so far I think I may have just under half!).

Yeah, they're great comics. If you want to borrow some, I have almost have the collection...
Tim found some in the library the other week that we hadn't read, or at least didn't remember reading. Asterix and the Magic Carpet, and one where Obelix is turned to stone after drinking a cauldron of magic potion, I can't remember the name of it.
